Back in Ut: Family Visit & Vince's Blessing

The summer wrapped up well in Delaware, we enjoyed our time there and we expect we will go back next summer. Vince and I came back to Utah about a week before Dillon did so I could get some things done before I started teaching again. When Vince and I got to Utah my Mother and Father-in-law were at our place excited to meet Vincey for the first time!

Meeting Grandma Holm!
We had about 5 days with Vince's Grandparents before some of the other Holm's joined us. Michelle, Tommy and Hannah drove out along with Casey and his kids: Andi Tanner and Piper. It was so much fun introducing Vince to everyone.

I could probably write a novel about the visit; it was so much fun and we had such a good time! But I'm going to let the pictures do the talking. I wish we lived closer to the Holms!

Vincey Boy in his Bumbo for the first time
Vince is getting big for it, but he likes his swing
Meeting Auntie Shell! (He's appropriately skeptical)
The Holms got a condo in Park City for a week that we all packed into. It was close quarters, but that's what made it so fun! Vince was spoiled by his cousins!
Sorry Piper and Vince for this picture but I think it's too cute

We went up to Olympic Park ad got to watch the ski jumpers practice by jumping into the pool.
Feel the rhythm, Feel the rhyme...
Look at those muscles!
Piper absolutely dotted on her "friend, Baby Bince"
She didn't like holding him because he was "too heavy and his head is too big"

Family pool time!
Vince loved his Uncle Tommy (his favorite Uncle)
Kisses for Baby Bince
We tubed the Provo River which was more intense than I expected, but so much fun!
We all survived the trip down the river
Dillon and Tommy had good brother bonding time playing angry birds
Grandma Holm sure knows how to care of us all!
When we got back to Orem we set up Vince's new favorite toy!

Tommy took SUCH great care of Vince, insisting on bathing, dressing and changing him!

Good looking family!

I love my sisters-in-law!

Vince Goes Swimming! (3 Months)

Before I get into our recent fun adventure I wanted to share some cute pictures of the little man. We've had requests for more pictures from family (as if that's possible) so here they are!

He still loves the sound of the bathtub running.
He recently discovered his thumb, so cute to see him suck on it!
Growing up I had a 4 foot teddy bear named Buba, Dillon was given this one for Vincey and so we named him Buba too! He likes to cuddle with him.

We have been so blessed to work for such a great family owned company out here in Delaware. The owners of Burns & McBride are so kind and generous to us, it has been an absolute pleasure working for them.

The latest incentive they offered was an all expenses paid trip to an amusement park/water park in Williamsburg, Virginia which is 5 hours south of where we are living. They gave us a day off and 2 nights in a hotel there.

We went to the water park with Vince both days we were there. He loves bath time so we were hopeful that he would enjoy a dip in the pool.  After overcoming the anxiety I felt about getting in a swimsuit 3 months after having a baby we went out and all got suits. Vince's is so precious!

Vince chillin' in the chair waiting for us to get ready
After I got him all caked with SPF 75, we set off for the water park. The first day he seemed content enough in the water, but mostly looked confused. We did get 2 quick grins out of him at the end which was promising.

He was so pooped after a day in the heat and pool he slept for ELEVEN HOURS when we got back to the hotel! We went back to the water park again the next day and that's were the fun began. Vince was much more tired and spent time napping in his stroller. But he also loved the pool.

Dillon and I played with him in the water and Vince would smile and giggle (a new skill for him). He even started kicking his legs in the water and would splash around. Dillon and I took turns with the boy while the other went on a few rides, but the best times were as a family in the water together.

Luckily Vince didn't mind wearing his hat!

The kiddy pool was a great way to cool down in the hot sun.
I wish I had caught Vince's HUGE smile at this point! He loves his daddy.

This might be one of my favorite pictures of him!

He loves sitting up on the couch with the big kids
This weekend we had the chance to redeem the hotel stay Dillon won on the Fourth of July. We were excited because it meant another pool party with Vince! The water was colder this time and he liked is less. But right as we were getting out of the water I supported his head while he floated on his back.

He loved that! He was kicking (like he does in the bath tub) and giggling. We did a handful of lengths of the pool while he kicked and kicked. It is so fun to see how much he loves the water.

Since we were indoors he didn't need the swim-shirt. I love to see his cute chub!
Happily floating and kicking!
