We finished up in Delaware for the summer towards the end of June, flew into UT, spent a night (no pictures unfortunately), and then took off north! It is an 8 hour drive to Denver where we spend a night with my brother in law Tyler and his wife Lindsay and their AMAZINGLY beautiful children. Then it was 13.5 hours on to Minnesota the next day. I will let the pictures and captions do the talking but our trip has been a blast so far.
Our last trip to the pool in DE involved a game of 500 with random kids |
Vince is OBSESSED with watermelon, he will even eat the rind. See the other one hundred pictures coming of him eating it for proof! |
YUMMY! |
Helping us pack up. |
Just before we took off on our 8 hour drive... this was back when the car was fun. He loves hugging his "Max" the cat-in-the-hat toy from great-grandma & grandpa Wilson. |
Tommy & JoAnn were in Denver the same night we stopped over and they had pool time! |
Vince loves the water, & splashing, & Uncle Tommy! |
Did I mention Vince loves water? |
At the pool with the Denver crew. |
Tommy, Landon, Grandma Jo, Vincey, Dillon, Kaitlyn, Kylie |
About the only sleep he got the next day on our 13.5 hour leg of the drive... poor kid had a hard time of it |
Sporting the rally-cap for Uncle Matt's last baseball game when they were down late/ |
Dillon loves doing projects around his parent's house. While they were gone he chopped down a ton of branches in the yard. |
I was not thrilled to see my husband 25+ feet up in a tree, on a ladder, by himself, with a chainsaw... but he's a pro by now and it looks great out there. |
Took Uncle Jordon out to Champlin for a BBQ Dinner |
More watermelon at Tanner's baseball game (one of the highlights of the trip for me!!) |
Vince loved clapping and yelling motivation/non-sense at the team. |
Tanner got on base 3/3! |
Vincey & Dillon played soccer for a bit and he loved chasing the ball. |
More watermelon, and a sweat mo-hawk he got playing soccer. |
Vince kept going up to Tommy and reaching out to be held/hugged by him! |
At the park in Champlin |
He is such a fast runner these days! |
Dillon beating up Matt as usual |
This is the project that has consumed our time at the Holm's. We helped dig out and tear down their old deck! |
It came down, and has been cut up for firewood! |
Next Dillon dug out 4 footings 48in deep (through concrete) and then we poured cement in to set. |
Vince has been fixing up Grandma's little house while we worked (aka has been in there to stay busy/safe) |
This boy always has sticks in his hands, when we camp he will be our kindling collector! |
Super Vince playing at Weaver Lake Park |
Burring Vince alive! |
S'mores in Grandpa Willy's backyard |
The wedding we helped with, I was in the bridal party and JoAnn did all the decorations. |
Vince is a champ, got both white shirts covered- no worries we washed them out before church the next day! |
Smirking for the camera |
My favorite!! Grandma Jo playing with Vincey at the reception, he had a blast with her! |
She brought him yet another plate of food but he had other ideas... |
He fed it all to her! |
Tuckered out! |
Our nightly ritual at the Wilson's: a heated game of corn-hole! |
Drinking from a hose is hard! |
After some practice |
Grandpa Willy needed help hosing off their scuba gear after Mexico so Vince was happy to "help" |
What a sport! |
And there is a stick of course. |
I can't believe this is the only picture I took but Andi & Tanner slept over in Champlin at my Dad's before we all went to Bunker Beach wave pool, it was so fun to bond with them and goof off! |
A successful "instant slush" experiment! |
